Planit successfully secured ‘Permitted Development’ rights for an indoor pool house and leisure facilities at this residential property.
These rights allow for a leisure building provided this does not sit forward of the front elevation of the dwelling. The rights are extensive and, in this case, allowed for a building to house an indoor swimming pool for which planning permission was not required. The development has been completed and is now linked to the main dwelling by way of a corridor providing a much-enjoyed facility for the family.
In addition, Planit secured approval for a substantial two storey side extension, and single storey orangery. The extension followed the Surrey Arts & Crafts design of the original house, such that the extension is imperceptible, but enhances the overall appearance of the house. Both have been constructed which has resulted in a significant increase in the habitable floor area of the house.
