Planit Consulting successfully secured a “prior approval not required” outcome for the erection of a substantial agricultural building at Peaslake Road, Ewhurst. The proposal comprised a 503 sqm building for the storage of farm machinery, supporting an established and actively managed agricultural enterprise.
Despite the site’s sensitive location within the Green Belt and Surrey Hills AONB, we demonstrated that the development met all criteria under Class A, Part 6 of the GPDO. The Local Planning Authority agreed the building was reasonably necessary for agricultural purposes and that its siting and design did not warrant further approval.
This case highlights our expertise in navigating permitted development rights for rural and agricultural schemes, even within constrained and protected landscapes.
